Job Responsibilities
As a practitioner with a focus on children and families at the Family House, you will work in a team with six other practitioners and eight colleagues within social services, children, and youth. The work is based on a salutogenic approach and includes various levels of preventive and therapeutic interventions. The position primarily focuses on outreach activities and crime prevention work. The assignment is broad and will include various types of psychosocial treatment interventions, support conversations, and outreach work, primarily aimed at children and youth. Since this initiative is new, there are opportunities to shape the work together with colleagues to build a sustainable and long-term operation. You will work alongside a colleague to form our outreach team, and the primary arenas for much of the work will be schools and youth centers in the municipality. The work will also involve staffing at youth centers as part of the position. The work entails collaboration with equivalent functions in other municipalities to build contact pathways and partnerships for both small and large events. Group activities for parents and children/youth may occur.
Since we work with families and groups, evening work will occur. Weekend work may also occur, if needed.
Qualifications
A degree in social work is advantageous for this position; other qualifications include social pedagogy, treatment pedagogy, or other post-secondary education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience in psychosocial treatment work and/or family treatment/work is advantageous. Good knowledge of relevant legislation (especially SoL and LVU) and experience working with VIVA and/or BBIC, as well as social services' authority work and implementation plans, are considered advantageous. Experience in group activities and knowledge of crime prevention measures are also advantageous. You need to have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A driver's license for passenger cars (B license) is required. Upon employment, a criminal record extract from the police will be requested. The application form can be downloaded from the police's website.
Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, and we consider it advantageous if you have knowledge of the South Sámi language and culture.
Personal Qualities

If you enjoy taking responsibility, are driven, flexible, and have a strong solution focus, you are the right person for us. You thrive in a role where work is conducted from a holistic perspective around the individual and family, where collaboration with both the individual and other operations is a given. Being attentive, humble, and able to ask for help are also qualities we seek. The Family House works with preventive and supportive measures in many areas.
